    On 20.1.2011, a new KIA Grand Carnival was purchased at Silver City Motors. This car was was exclusively serviced by Silver City Motors mechanics from it's purchase date through to January, 2014.

    My husband and I purchased the same car in November 2014 from a used car yard in Adelaide. Silver City Motors were contacted by the yard AND by us prior to purchasing the car and we were told that the vehicle was still under FULL New Car Warranty. When booked in for a service at a local Adelaide KIA dealer days later, we were informed that the car engine was in fact 'BLACK FLAGGED' (KIA's fancy term for no longer under warranty), and we were told that the car required a full engine replacement. Astonishingly, Silver City Motors were contacted on several occasions during 2015, and repeatedly confirmed that the car was still under full new car warranty. It was only when they were forced to double-check the service history that they changed their tune. After a lengthy legal battle, we are now carless, many thousands of dollars worse off, and feel totally let down by Silver City Motors and their initial advice that the car was still under warranty. This vehicle would have never been purchased, had we been given correct information from the beginning. Silver City Motors appear to be disinterested and to date, have not assisted us in any way.
